Meager mural support

Just before the New Year, some mysterious streaking appeared on the signature tiles on the Jaco Park mural. The wailing wall was cleaned and a rough outline of black paint was applied around the tiles. A sloppy bit of vandalism was also spotted on the mural today, evoking earlier damage which was later deemed to be caused by City lawn equipment.
Repeated requests to Oakland Park Main Street and the mural artist concerning the number of tiles to be applied and the mural unveiling event have gone unanswered. Neither of these aspects has been adhered to per the agreement from 11 months ago. No new tiles have been installed in several months, a far cry from the 250 per month promised in the agreement. At present, tile sales appear to be an in-house affair, as most of the 60+ tiles currently in place appear to have been purchased by OPMS board members.
