City Link Magazine has named Oakland Park-based videographer Gingerman309 the Best Local Music Videographer in South Florida for 2010. His YouTube channel includes videos from all over South Florida, many of them filmed in OP at the now-closed Alligator Alley restaurant featuring Julius and Felix Pastorius, twin sons of OP hero Jaco.

Another OP connection in the Best Of issue features Bill Savarese as Best Muralist. Although he's not an Oakland Parker, the subject of his mural is. He sits in the Public Art Chair for Oakland Park Main Street and was selected by OPMS to create a replacement mural for the one by Ciccio they had painted over.
Some other OP honorees include: The Fox & Hound Pub, Lips, Winter Music Conference (office in OP), and Catfish Dewey's.
